Crawlspace Services

Many homes that are built on crawl space foundations in the Southeastern United States suffer from issues related to poor moisture management. Some of the most common symptoms of a crawl space moisture problem include:

• Mold or moisture damage in the crawl space or living area
• Musty odors in the living area
• Condensation (”sweating”) on air conditioning ductwork or equipment
• Condensation on floor and wall insulation, water pipes or truss plates within the crawlspace
• Buckled and/or cupped hardwood floors above in the living space
• High humidity in the living area
• Rot in wooden framing members
• Termite and other pest control issues related to water damage wood.

As a certified firm with the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), TriStar can assist the homeowner in mitigating moisture, remediating mold growth and preventing these problems in the future.

Our inventory includes 180,000 BTU mobile furnace units that can safely and efficiently deliver dry air into a crawl space and eliminate the need for a lengthy drying process via conventional drying methods.

Following drying and remediation, we can provide installation of vapor barrier, positive drain and sump pump, and powered ventilation solutions, to prevent future crawl space issues.
